Discover the Place X Local Champions Cohort

We believe in place-based change. As your neighbourhood incubator, we support locally and community led grassroots and developmental projects. We committed to accelerating the impact of place-based change projects.

This work is currently funded by income generated by our programme design services. We’re looking for partnerships interested in investing in our social innovator and neighbourhood projects.

We aim to transform voluntary led groups in tackling their social mission whilst scaling into wage paying social enterprises.

A number of collaborative initiatives facilitated, e.g:

Wisdom Woman x LIS

  • The club has diversified and grown to be bigger than ever in its 36 year history and we couldn’t be prouder to now be able to offer bespoke coaching to women of all abilities and experience levels. The club has gone from strength to strength and has been able to upgrade the playing facilities for competitive matches. All of this has been made possible with the support Local Champions

  • With local champions support we were able to raise money and deliver an invaluably positive project for young coaches, developing their entrepreneurial skills, confidence, emotional resilience and mindset.

  • Local Champions helped us to secure the space and facilities we needed for our meet ups, checked in regularly and talked through my ideas. With LC continued support, the group is growing and welcoming in new people every month. We don’t think the group would exist without them.
