Privacy

How we handle information.

Local Champions only asks for information needed to respond to enquiries, deliver programmes and manage professional relationships.

Enquiries and bookings

Information shared through an enquiry, email or booking service is used to understand and respond to your request, arrange conversations and manage follow-up. Third-party services such as Calendly process information under their own privacy terms.

YEA! 5.0 applications

Peabody Community Foundation is the data controller for YEA! 5.0 and Local Champions CIC processes application and participant information to recruit, select, administer and evaluate the programme. The application asks for contact details, date of birth, postcode and borough, Peabody residency, business information and optional equality-monitoring information. Equality information is not used to score individual applications and is reported only in anonymised, aggregate form.

Application information is used only for YEA! and directly relevant enterprise signposting. We keep YEA! programme records for up to five years under our partnership agreement. We do not share personal or protected information in programme reports unless you have separately agreed to this.

Meeting notes and recordings

Some booked meetings may use an AI meeting assistant to create a transcript, summary or action list. We will tell attendees before recording begins and ask for consent. You can decline recording and still take part in the meeting.

Community and updates

If you join our mailing list or WhatsApp Community, the relevant provider processes the information needed to deliver that service. You can unsubscribe or leave at any time.

Programme information

Participant and partner information is handled for agreed delivery, safeguarding, evaluation and reporting purposes, with access limited to those who need it.

Analytics and cookies

We count page views and YEA! application stages in daily aggregates to understand which pages are useful and where the application process needs improvement. These counters record only a page category, a broad referral category, a screen-size category and an event such as starting or submitting an application. We do not store IP addresses, visitor identifiers, exact referring URLs, form answers or contact details in analytics, and these counters do not use cookies or browser storage. They count events, not unique people. We honour the browser Do Not Track setting. Standard hosting logs are separate and may contain technical request details. Where consent is required, non-essential tracking will not be used without it.

Retention and sharing

We keep information only for as long as it is needed for the purpose it was collected, legal obligations or legitimate organisational records. We do not sell personal information.
